In 2026, NSWMSC is bringing together three of our professional development events into one comprehensive day focused on specialty training, research and academic development.
The NSWMSC Specialist Pathways, Research and Publications Event will give students the opportunity to hear directly from doctors across a range of specialties about training program requirements, application processes and the different pathways available to enter specialty training.
Students will also learn about opportunities to become involved in research, develop their academic skills and navigate the publication process. The event will provide a platform for medical students to showcase the research and projects they have been working on, share their experiences and connect with other students and clinicians interested in research.
The day will conclude with the NSWMSC Three Minute Thesis Competition, where medical students will have three minutes and a single slide to present their research clearly and compellingly to a judging panel.
