In March, NSWMSC and AMSA proudly brought the Careers Conference back to Sydney,and it was an absolute blast!
Medical students from across Australia came together for a weekend of career exploration, practical advice and meaningful conversations about life beyond medical school.
Students heard from doctors, colleges, professional organisations and industry leaders about internship, specialty training and the many different pathways available throughout a medical career. From those already set on a specialty to those still figuring out their RACPs from their RCPAs, there was something for everyone.
The conference also provided opportunities to connect with fellow students, ask honest questions and hear directly from leaders working across medicine, advocacy and medical regulation.

Our speakers shared honest insights into the transition from medical student to junior doctor, including choosing an internship network, navigating rotations, managing new responsibilities and making the most of the intern year.
