Treasurer – Marcus Lau

What you hope to achieve within NSWMSC in 2016
To incorporate NSWMSC as a Tier-2 association under the Association of Incorporation Act (2009). This will facilitate greater opportunities with government grants, and reduce the executive’s financial liability under any misadventure. Ultimately, the organisation will become its own legal identity and be more attractive to corporate sponsors, generating higher revenue in order to provide more quality events.

Make sure we have the best events! I want to make sure you guys all have a fantastic time at parties, make use of inter-university rivalry with Sports and Cultural competitions and learn heaps at conferences!

More Facebook likes! More Twitter followers! I’d like to maintain a strong social media presence, and strengthen relationships with students, faculties, and professional bodies alike. I’m also hoping to start some great campaigns to advocate for issues relevant to NSW med students!

What you hope to achieve within NSWMSC in 2016
Working closely with Public Relations to make sure our events, campaigns and publications look good and catch the eyes of as many people as possible. I hope to standardise the style of our releases and polish things up, in order to appeal to not only students but also other organisations we may work with.
