Welcome from the NSWMSC President 2016
Welcome to the New South Wales Medical Students’ Council (NSWMSC)!
NSWMSC represents and advocates on behalf of over 4,500 medical students across 7 medical schools in NSW, as well as the ANU medical school in the ACT.
NSW has some of the most significant health needs in Australia, and graduates more doctors than in any other state. NSWMSC was formed in 2008 to unite all NSW medical students under a common vision of empowering the future medical workforce to meet all community health needs.
NSWMSC is driven by a passionate and skilled Executive and Council. The Executive and Council work hard to facilitate the development of innovative opportunities for NSW and ACT medical students to upskill and contribute to solutions to community health challenges. NSWMSC leads powerful advocacy campaigns to help continually improve training conditions for students and junior doctors across the state. NSWMSC also works with a broad, dynamic network of partners and stakeholders to host a stellar line up of academic, cultural and social events throughout the year.
There are always ways for any NSW or ACT student to get involved with NSWMSC. If you’ve got an idea or a topic that you’re passionate about, please do not hesitate to contact me or any of the members of the 2016 Executive. You can find our contact details on our website in the ‘About’ section.
If you’re keen to keep up to date with all the latest initiatives, issues and opportunities involving NSWMSC, sign up to our mailing list by clicking here!
On behalf of the 2016 NSWMSC Executive and Council, I wish you all the best with your studies and pursuits!
