Mental Health First Aid Courses (MHFA)
NSWMSC is pleased to offer Newcastle Uni students another chance to attend the highly demanded course. The course will take place over 2 days on 27-28 June 2015.
The course will be held at the University of Newcasle and is provided free of charge thanks to funding from the Dept of Health & Ageing, and NSWMSC will also be covering any other associated costs (e.g. catering for lunch)!
The course runs for a total of 12 hours over a weekend - 6 hours on Saturday & 6 hours on Sunday.
Spots are strictly limited to 30 students at each location and are available to students on a first come, first served basis.
We will be charging a small deposit of $20, fully refundable after successful course completion. This is to ensure that only genuine students sign up, as we expect spots will sell out quickly!
Summary:
- Free Mental Health First Aid training
- Free lunch provided by NSWMSC on both days (Saturday & Sunday)
- 30 students in each course
- MHFA Certificate will be provided by course instructors
